5 Ways To Make Your LATISSE Last Longer

No doubt about it, women love their Latisse for the way it lengthens their eyelashes. However, Latisse costs about $120-$130 for a two-month supply, if used as directed.

Here are some creative ways to make your precious drops of Latisse - and your dollars - last a little longer:

1.

Use only one Latisse drop - in the cap - each day.

To avoid waste, put one drop in the cap and dip the brush in the cap. This way, you can do both eyelids with one drop and one brush.

2.

Use the Latisse brush for two consecutive days.

Use one brush for two days straight, just rinse it with water in between uses and let it air dry. This will help you get a full four months of use from your prescription.

3.

Use your own brush.

A skinny eyeliner brush may be the best to use, rather than the ones that come with the package.

4.

Cut the Latisse brush in half.

You can give the little brushes that come with Latisse a chop. You’ll use less product - and what you do use will be applied more carefully and efficiently.

5.

Apply only as much Latisse as you need.

The consensus seems to be that a full drop on both eyes is probably more than enough, depending on how long you want your lashes to be. Don’t forget, once you stop using Latisse, your lashes will revert to their original length and thickness.

a solution for your blemished legs

Do you sometimes avoid showing your legs because you have spider veins — those small clusters of red, blue, or purple veins that appear on the thighs, calves, and ankles?

You are not alone. It's estimated that at least half of all women are bothered by this common cosmetic problem.

If you would like to eliminate your spider veins and improve your appearance, Dr. Rasmussen can help. There is a very effective and safe method available for eradicating spider veins... sclerotherapy. It is the gold standard for treating leg veins. And it is much more effective and less painful than laser treatments.

Is Sclerotherapy right for me?
Sclerotherapy can be performed on people of any age and is a good option for you if:

  • You are bothered by spider veins anywhere on your body.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You are committed to following the prescribed course of treatment.

What happens during spider vein treatment?

Sclerotherapy requires no anesthesia and is performed in an outpatient setting. One or more sessions, each less than 20 minutes, are usually required to obtain the optimal results. The number of treatments depends on the number of veins you may have and on the size of the spider veins. After the treatment series, a quick touch-up procedure is usually needed to address any small remaining veins. Sclerotherapy treats the spider veins that you have at the time of the treatment, and does not prevent the formation of new spider veins.

With sclerotherapy treatment, a glycerin solution is injected into the affected veins causing the veins to collapse, be destroyed, and fade from view. The veins will disappear immediately but will quickly reappear bright red. Over the next 2-6 weeks (depending on the size and location of the veins) the veins will slowly resolve and disappear. After the procedure, the legs are wrapped with bandages. The doctor will advise you to wear the bandages or support hose for 2-3 weeks following the procedure. A follow-up procedure, if needed, should be scheduled 6-8 weeks afterwards.

Call 482-9344 to schedule your sclerotherapy appointment before November 30th for 20% off, and show off your new legs in no time!
